St Luke's is the church on the corner, embracing the community, welcoming diversity, and offering hope. We strive in everything we do to make disciples for Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. We believe we can create stronger communities and do more for God when we partner together in all our resources.

Our Staff

Glen Connoley, Pastor


Pastor Glen has been a United Methodist pastor for over 10 years. He received his Bachelor's in English from University of Missouri - Kansas City; his Masters of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary; and is working on his doctorate from Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School. Pastor Glen has a gift for bringing various people and organizations together around the work of uniting, strenthening, and serving communities. He and Cathy have been married for 24 years, and have 3 wonderful daughters, Anna, Elise, and Joan.

Rhonda Doak, Office Manager


Rhonda has been with St. Lukes United Methodist Church since December 2021. Prior  to working at St. Luke's, she worked and volunteered for a Presbyterian Church in Lexington, Missouri for five years. She is currently working on her BS in Psychology to become a Trauma and Grief Counselor. 


She brings many new ideas, organizations, and people together for the betterment of the church. Rhonda is a mother of three wonderful boys and one precious little girl. 

Steve Mills, Leadership Team Chair


Steve was born in Munich, Germany of American parents. He graduated from Frankfurt American High School in Frankfurt. He earned his Associate Degree in Computer Science at Eastern Arizona College and joined the US Air Force in 1971.


Steve married Janean in April of 1976. They raised two sons, Matthew and Jordan, and are blessed with five grandchildren, four girls and a boy.


Steve justified by faith through grace on September 18, 1981 (please ask Steve about that) and enjoys watching God’s grace abound.


 

Gary Nigh, Finance Chair


Gary recently retired from a career in healthcare purchasing. He and his wife Tish have three grown children and three grandsons. Gary has been a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church for more than 40 years. In January 2023 he became the chair of the church finance committee.

Bob Love, Trustee ChairBob Love, Trustee Chair


In preparation for his role as the Trustee Chair, Bob has served in many different leadership roles at St. Luke’s over the years. In addition to his church responsibilities, Bob stays busy volunteering with three other non-profit organization in the Kansas City area.


Bob and his wife Sue have been members of St. Luke’s for more than 20 years. They have two children and four grandchildren.
